Showing our electric rope tow ski lift and how it works. We had a smaller version, but wanted a longer lift line and a little more power! 2hp 1740rpm Electric motor, 10:1 over all reduction ratio, and an 8" Steel V-belt Sheave with 5/8" polypropylene rope are the key parts. Add some ingenuity and tension to make it a ski lift! Groomed with a snowmobile and a 6' X 10' section of temporary chain link fence.
