Dan says… “In September 2018 Mick and I were invited by BOSS to go and spend some time at their facility in Hamamatsu, Japan, to see how things are done and meet the people behind the products . As you might expect, we both found it thoroughly fascinating and we have a couple of videos coming out where we explore and show you the highlights of this trip. While I was there I wanted to see if I could find an old BOSS delay, the DSD-2 Digital Sampler/Delay. 20 years ago I saw a guitar player in a band in Melbourne, Australia use one to great effect. It’s basically a Japanese DD-3 (I love the compander circuit in these) with an added sampler, giving you the ability to sample and trigger something recorded to a short delay time directly from the pedal.
