She is 174cm tall and bats and throws right-handed. She currently plays for the JD League's Bic Camera Takasaki. She began playing softball in the third grade of elementary school. As a second-year student at Kyushu Women's High School (now Fukuoka University Wakaba High School), she contributed to the team's victory at the 1999 World Junior Championships as the ace pitcher. After graduating from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (now Bic Camera Women's Softball Takasaki). At the August 2008 Beijing Olympics, she threw 413 pitches over three games over two days, contributing to the team's gold medal. She continued to win numerous individual awards in the Japan League, including MVP, Best ERA, and Most Wins Pitcher. She also contributed to the team's gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
