Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (Part 1): Mabe Village

Part 1 of 21, of a playthrough of "Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX" for the GameBoy Color. In this part, Link crashes on Koholint Island. He's rescued by a friendly woman named Marin, whose father collected Link's shield. Link goes to the nearby beach, in order to get his sword. An owl appears and tells him that he must awaken the Wind Fish to return home. Link goes to the Mysterious Forest north of Mabe Village, where he gets a toadstool. He gives it to a witch for powder, which he uses on a raccoon. This allows him to get they key to the first dungeon. Link returns to Mabe Village. He does fishing for a piece of heart. He does the first part of the trading sequence. Specifically, he plays the trendy game (which is a crane game) for a Yoshi doll. He trades it for a ribbon, which is traded for dog food, which is traded for bananas.
