Recipe: Ingredients: Noodles- Lasagna noodles-11 sheets (I only used 9 but I like to have a couple of extra ones in case any of them break apart) Salt-1 tsp Meat Sauce- Oil-2 tbs Onions-2 medium Ground beef-1 lb Garlic paste-1 tsp Ginger paste-1 tsp Ground cumin-1 tsp Garam masala-1/2 tsp Red chili powder-1/2 tsp Turmeric-1/4 tsp Dried mint-1/4 tsp (Sorry, I mistakenly said this was ground black pepper in the video!) Salt-1 tsp Tomato paste-1 1/2 tsp Dried parsely-1/2 tsp Paprika-1/2 tsp Oregano-1/2 tsp Ground black pepper-1/2 tsp Garlic powder-1/2 tsp Chili pepper flakes-1/4 tsp Basil-1/4 tsp Sauce 2 jars of 650 ml-I used Catelli Pasta Sauce, Onion and Garlic. I normally use Ragu (Original) but couldn't find it at the moment. This tasted the same in the end. Cheese 2 bags of shredded mozzarella cheese. I would recommend Black Diamond if you can get your hands on it. Recipe Preheat the oven to 380 F. Noodles- Boil the noodles with 2 tsp of salt for 12 minutes. Drain and place the noodles in a bowl of cold water. This will prevent noodles from sticking to each other. Meat Sauce- Add the oil to a pot on medium heat. Add onions and fry them until translucent. Then add the meat and brown it. Add the ginger, garlic paste along with the rest of the spices. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes on medium low. Keep stirring every few minutes. Add 2 jars of pasta sauce to the meat. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Assembly- Add a small amount of sauce on the bottom of the dish. Add the first layer of 3 noodles, followed by a generous helping of sauce. Layer the cheese according to your own preference. If you like less, add a little less. If you're like me, then pile it on :D Layer the next batch of 3 noodles, with sauce and cheese. Lastly, the final layer of noodles, sauce and cheese. Place 7 or 8 a toothpicks in the lasagna to prevent the foil from running away with the top layer of your cheese. Place the lasagna in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes. My oven is a little slower. It took me all of 40 minutes. After 40 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble, remove the foil and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes to brown the cheese into the perfect crust. Let the lasagna set for 30 minutes before digging in! This is the hardest part of the entire process!!! I hope you enjoy this recipe. Please comment below.
