Florence: The unknown art of Michelangelo and the good and the bad of the city
#travel #travelvlog #florence #michelangelo #italy This is the first video of my visit to Florence, Italy. Let me just say, it is a wonderful city, but it also has its problems. But overall I can really recommend visiting the city if you can stand that it has a lot of people visiting it. Atlas obscura links. The unknown art of Michelangelo https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/l... The really old pharmacy https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/s... Please note that all of my videos are published under a Creative Commons license. This channel is about travelling. Travelling as I do it, often on a tight budget. I started this channel because i wanted to make videos about my holidays so I could watch when I am older. And, why not share it others then I thought. What is my name? My name is Pål, which is the swedish spelling of Paul. I have chosen not to give my last name because i do not want to dox myself too much. What was the former name of the channel? From the get go, I named the channel History Traveller because I am deeply addicted to both travelling and history. Changed the name to Paul's travel videos 11th of April 2026 because it felt better. What equipment do I use? Iphone 15 pro max. I use a small handheld tripod and a bigger 1,5 meter sometimes. I mostly use the handheld only. For editing i use Filmora pro, and my thumbnails are done in either Canva or within Youtube Studio. Do, I have a job? Yes, I do. I do this on my spare time and holidays. Are you given tickets for free? No, I dont accept that. The only way I accept that is if I get reimbursed because of a delayed or cancelled journey. Do you pay for everything by yourself? Yes, everything is paid out of my own pocket. And I can afford that because I dont have high living costs or a car or children. I live cheap and save as much as possible in order to be able to travel. I try to find the best hotel and hostel prices for my need and travel a lot on interrail card, which is called eurail for non EU-citizens. I also fly or take the bus. For how many years have I backpacked ? In July 2025, it's about 8 years. Where am I from? I live in a city in northern Sweden and was born and raised in northern Sweden but have also lived in mid-sweden, southwest Sweden and Southeast Sweden. What countries have I visited? Finland, Norway, Great Britain, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Austria, Czechia, Slovenia, Slovakia, USA, Croatia, Greece, Vatican state, Hungary, Denmark. I have visited many of these countries many times, and might have forgotten to add some countries. Am I interested in sponsorships? If the offer is right, then maybe.
