Radical Responsibility and the 3 Weeks In this session, we discuss how the ultimate destruction begins when we fail to guard our inner sanctuary, allowing the noise of the outside world to penetrate our most sacred, holy spaces. By anchoring ourselves in Da’at (conscious awareness), we learn to build a protective wall around our consciousness, ensuring we do not let external chaos compromise our inner truth. The Subtle Power of "Now" We only ever possess the immediate present. King Solomon teaches in Mishlei, "Praiseworthy is the man who is fearful always" (Proverbs 28:14). This isn't a call to anxiety; it is a call to a deep, trembling awe of the present moment. Because we only know the "right now," we need a profound element of subtlety to perceive the truth. As we navigate the unfolding process of redemption, we must transition into a state of high awareness to catch the divine signals we so often miss. Radical Responsibility and the Architecture of the Soul How do we reach the depth of consciousness we desire? It takes time, immense courage, and disciplined self-regulation. To do this, we must adopt what the Rav calls "radical responsibility" over our internal state. This begins by mapping the architecture of the soul—truly learning how we work, defining the Nefesh, the Ruach, and the Neshama, and realizing that simply holding space to listen to another person share their inner world is a massive vessel for healing. Redefining Wealth: Chelek as the Present Moment Our Chazal teach that the truly wealthy person is "happy with their lot" (Chazamei b'chelko). We look at this through the lens of Da'at: Your Chelek is Your Time: Your "lot" is literally the specific moments (chelekim) you have been granted. The Root of Abundance: True wealth means being rooted entirely in the now, looking at your current reality from a place of conscious awareness, and saying to HaShem, "Wow, Thank you. You let me live right now, in this exact moment." Through this deep gratitude and radical presence, we protect our inner temple and build a life of genuine, unshakeable alignment. Recorded on Thursday, July 2nd, in Beis Dovid on 17th of Tammuz.
