How to make Homemade spool tensioner, tie SC Knot, and attach braid to an empty spool

This video shows one method for putting braid backer on a reel spool. This method uses a small amount of monofilament to provide the braid backer for putting braid on a smooth fishing spool, to prevent braid slipage while fishing. I show how I like to tie fishing line to the spool (using a round turn with a Uni Knot) and how to tie braid to mono or flourcarbon using the SC Knot. I show common materials I found at Home Depot that can be used to make a spool tensioner to provide for a very tight spooling of braid. You don’t want your braid to cut into self when you have heavy fish on your line. It will get stuck and could cause your braid to slip, meaning your spool will turn in side of the braid. I recomend this method for anyone that wants to spool up to 50lbs of braid on their fishing reel. Any heavier line or larger fish, I recomend trust in your local tackle shop to provide the best spooling for 60lb+ braid sizes. ‪@2ndChanceTackle‬ shows a similar method for presenting braid slippage.
