Please join me as I ride at Flyup 417 bike park, riding the blue and red trails for the first time and overcoming a loss of confidence 🥹 in myself and my bike, accompanied by a touch of anxiety 🥺 about riding MTB and tackling this park for the first time. 😊 Having a “Wobble” mentally the day before 🥺 had caused me to lose confidence in myself and my bike for no reason. Knowing how fast Flyup 417 Bike Park could be, I was nervous 😬 about coming to the park. Using a tried-and-tested method, the “Pre-Ride” mentality, and returning to basics, I practised everything I learned from my coaching lessons: bike and body position, line choice, braking, and the slow-in and fast-out technique. I rode the trail at my own pace, explored the features, and assessed the trail, ready to stop to review the feature for the next run if necessary. 🤙🏼 I felt truly honoured to be with Johnathan, 🤩 who assisted me throughout the day in understanding the trails and what to expect. I also feel a sense of accomplishment, 😊 having overcome my loss of confidence and anxiety by the end of the day.🤗 By employing the “Pre-Ride” method, I regained my confidence in myself and the bike.
