High G Vs Low G - Uke Logic Pink Fluorocarbon Strings On aNueNue UT10
For anyone thinking of trying a low G for the first time please be aware that the string space at the nut will likely need widened, particularly for an unwound low G (thicker gauge than wound). If you don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself I would advise taking your ukulele to a specialist store or luthier. Wound strings should not be used on ukuleles with plastic fretboards/frets as the strings will wear them down.
