A trip to the Antarctic aboard the tall ship Bark Europa a couple of years ago. Three weeks of sailing crossing the southern ocean standing watch with albatross and then penguins, whales, leopard seals and the ice, as far south as the Antarctic summer permits. Past the desolation of Deception island to 69 degrees south and then the return past the Horn.
