John Nemeth RightOn Session live music performance

September 12, 2024 John Németh grew up in Idaho in the 90s, initially drawn to hip hop and rock, until his friend Tom Moore introduced him to the blues of Junior Wells and Buddy Guy. He formed the band Fat John & the 3 Slims, which quickly gained popularity in Boise. He then moved to San Francisco, where he began playing with Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets, absorbing soul and funk influences from the Bay Area. His national debut, "Magic Touch" (2007), was critically acclaimed, establishing him as a rising star in the blues scene. In 2013, Németh moved to Memphis, collaborating with Scott Bomar and the Bo-Keys on "Memphis Grease," an album that reached number 4 on the Billboard Blues chart and earned him major awards in the blues world. Throughout his career, he has released multiple albums, standing out for his ability to blend blues, soul, and other genres like rock and hip hop. In his current European tour, Németh will be accompanied by Mathew Wilson, Danny Banks, and the acclaimed guitarist John Paul Keith. This first RightOn! Session is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy his music live, a performance in the RightOn! Straps workshop that filled us with joy and gave everyone present goosebumps.
