Coping Saw Restoration

So I bought this beauty for 50 cents at the local flea market a few months ago now, what a bloody gem!! The frame was very rusty and the handle was looking pretty plain. Its inscription states that it is an Eclipse No.7 CP Coping Saw that was Made in England. Research suggests it being made in or around the 1960's. None of the trademarks were visible before starting the restore. The metal parts went into the double strength vinegar for 3 or so days before having a run across the wire wheel, polishing wheel and finally some Autosol to spruce it up. The vinegar actually ate the blade making it unusable, lucky I had a couple of spares to finish the job. The gloves were supplied by one of Howzat Restorations favourite subscribers Mr Mavs, thanks Mr Mavs!!! The handle then enjoyed a sand back and a coat of Mahogany stain before being finished off with some rejuvenating paste wax. It now feels, smells and looks absolutely fantastic. Thanks for checking it out!
