Fineliner Patterns | Drawing a Pattern Grid

I want to offer something for the strange times we’re living in so, starting from today I’m going to be doing five creative projects per week. Monday - Friday. These are perfect for beginners and will cover art, sewing and other types of making. I’ll keep them going for as long as I can (but if I get ill of course there may be a gap!) Each week will have a different theme and I’ll post ahead of time what the themes are and what you’ll need if you want to try it out. I’ll post photos and short videos here but the full video tutorials will be on YouTube. If you would like extras, I’ll be offering high resolution images and extra worksheets on my Patreon for all subscribers from $1 a month.   / loudavis   This week’s theme is drawing patterns, you'll start by building a pattern library and there will be projects throughout the week on how you can use patterns in your art. The end results look complicated but we’ll go slowly, step by step. You’ll be filling pages with them in no time. I find making patterns like this really helps me focus on a task and I do find them relaxing to make. . For this first week, all you’ll need is some paper and a pen. I’ll be using a fine liner but if you don’t have one you can use any pen for this. You might optionally want a pencil and rubber, a ruler and maybe a pair of compasses.
