Slaithwaite Fire Station’s brand new MAN 4x4 Rural Rescue Pump (7201) turning out alongside a wildfire support unit towing the Argocat to a wildfire on Black Hill in West Yorkshire. As an on-call station, Slaithwaite’s firefighters respond from home or work when mobilised, quickly making their way to station before turning out to incidents. This video shows the crew mobilising with specialist off-road capability to tackle a moorland fire. The MAN 4x4 Rural Rescue Pump is designed for rural and off-road incidents such as wildfires, where access can be difficult for standard appliances. The Argocat, transported on a trailer, allows crews to reach remote terrain and support firefighting operations across the moorland.
