I failed my 1-hour glucose tolerance test during a recent prenatal visit. My OB doctor called and told me that I had failed the one-hour test for gestational diabetes, which absolutely shocked me. I passed the 1-hour glucose test (gestational diabetes) during my first pregnancy with ease, and I had been eating much healthier during this pregnancy. I never thought that I'd fail this test. I had to schedule another appointment so that I could take the 3-hour glucose test, which required four blood draws, 8 hours of fasting, and more.
