State Of Art - James Grant and Chris Thomson (live at the Woodside Hotel, Aberdour Fri 4 Aug 2023)

Chris Thomson joins his former Friends Again band mate James Grant for an impromptu performance of the group's wonderful 1983 single State Of Art. Filmed at the Woodside Hotel in Aberdour, Fife on 4 August 2023 where James was a surprise guest at a birthday party for hotel owner, gig promoter and all round good guy John McTaggart. Talking to Chris afterwards, it was also a surprise to him on the night to find himself playing with James again, which explains the slightly hesitant start! Not captured on film was James' thanks to Chris and his stated admiration for Chris's writing of the song that he includes in every set he performs to this day.
