Philip is More Interesting Than You Think (Acts 8)

What if the miracle in Acts 8 didn’t begin on the road to Gaza? In this teaching, we explore the story of Philip and the Ethiopian official, not as a random supernatural interruption, but as the culmination of a life shaped by wisdom, attention, and care for overlooked people. Philip first learns to listen in Acts 6 among Hellenized widows and cultural tension in the early church. Years later, that same formation leads him to notice a stranger on a desert road. And eventually, it shapes the kind of home where four daughters grow up prophesying. Maybe miracles are not only the surprising moments we cannot explain. Maybe they are also the slow work of becoming the kind of people who can recognize grace when it appears.
