I stayed at Hokutosei Square in Hokkaido in the fall of 2025. Hokutosei Square is a train hotel housed in passenger cars of the Hokutosei sleeper express train. The Hokutosei sleeper express train formerly ran between Ueno Station in Tokyo and Sapporo Station in Hokkaido. It began operation in 1988 and ceased service in 2015.
