Why was there a Potato Chip Theme Park?

What’s in a name? I present a deep dive nobody asked for into the Irish crisp (potato chip) theme park: ‘Tayto Park’. Tayto is an Irish institution and for years I’ve been fascinated that there was a theme park based on it. My obsession reached new heights when in February 2022 they announced the park would be changing its name, prompting national outrage. But why is it happening? Why does it matter?
