With real life scenarios reconstructed into a melodic and intuitive song structure, Toosick tells sorties of some of the childhood struggles he faced growing up an indigenous male in the middle of inner city poverty, gangs violence and drug abuse. “Forgive Me” Official Music Video is a visual representation of Toosick’s indigenous culture along side a memorial piece dedicated to the deceased. This project features a “Grassdancer” getting ready to dance and “bless the grounds” where Toosick has a memorial candle lighting for his lost loved ones. As an indigenous youth, Toosick spent most of his summer days on the powwow trial as a Grassdancer but found himself slowly disconnecting from the cultured he to racism and bullying in his teenage years. Having found a new self meaning with the birth of his new born daughter, Toosick looks to reconnect himself, friends and fans to his beautiful culture and help tell the stories and spread awareness of his people. “I want to provide a platform to inspire other young indigenous people to be who they want to be and to share my love for my culture with the urban music community” Special thanks to Grassdancer “Jr Waskewich” blessing us with his art and culture.
