Stephens Design Pickups 50's Les Paul Wiring Tutorial Part Two

(Audio tracks are in public domain). PART TWO. Players think 50's wiring is a simple tone cap mod, not true. 50's wiring is how the entire harness is wired. Here in a two part tutorial I show how to install a completely new 50's spec harness. This will vastly improve the sound of your replica Les Pauls, will improve your Gibson Les Pauls, and any 50's type archtop or solid body using 2 pickups and four control knobs. Gibson's pots and caps always need replacing, and if it was me I would replace the wire they used as well, but keep the Switchcraft jack and switch, the switch must be the long one. ALL OFFSHORE GUITARS MUST HAVE THEIR ENTIRE HARNESS THROWN AWAY. All my demo guitars in all my videos, including Strat and Teles, have had their factory harnesses trashed and replaced with accurate replica materials and parts. If you're a tone freak you already know the value of doing this! DON'T TRY THIS IF YOU AREN'T PRACTICED AT SOLDERING AND NOT GOOD WITH TOOLS. A bad solder job can ruin the sound of your guitar, even destroy pots and caps. You need to be handy with tools and a do it yourself kinda guy. I can't show every detail of every step so if you have questions just ask me, and will try to explain, the first time you do this wiring it'll be a little hard but its not too hard.
