We filmed the interior of the beautiful and mysterious Lundgren mansion in Rio Tinto-PB The mansion was built in the last century to house Colonel Frederico Lundgren and is located in the municipality of Rio Tinto. Municipality: Rio Tinto-PB Location: R. Regina I, Rio Tinto – PB, 58297-000 The mansion was built in the last century to house Colonel Frederico Lundgren and is located in the municipality of Rio Tinto. The building has 3 floors and was decorated with rich furniture, Italian carpets, chandeliers and tiles, following the architectural style of the workers' villages of Manchester (England) and Berlin (Germany). The Lundgren family was of Swedish origin and began their empire in the region in 1917, finishing their factory, the Rio Tinto Textile Company, in 1924. The city originated from the factory, as before that territory was just a small village in the municipality of Mamanguape. Such was its influence that Getúlio Vargas only visited Rio Tinto in the state of Paraíba, being invited by the family to a grand dinner at the Palacete. Besides being a residence, the place functioned as a kind of court where high-ranking officials judged workers and residents who did not obey the order established by the Lundgren family. When World War II began, numerous Germans fleeing the war settled in the city to work at the factory, displeasing the local workers and residents who believed that German submarines were patrolling the area and bringing these people. At that time, many rumors arose about the Palacete. The population suspected that it possessed "a nest of anti-aircraft machine guns," which caused panic when a plane that took off from Rio Grande do Norte crashed on the coast of the region due to technical failures. Furthermore, residents believed that the construction of the Palacete was intended to house Adolf Hitler. On August 18, 1945, residents received news of the end of the war and the defeat of the Nazis. Outraged, they stormed the mansion, looting it and demanding the deportation of the foreigners.
