6T70 Transmission Control Module Repair | Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac
Shifting issues in a pre-2014 GM car with the 6T70, 6T75, or 6T80 transmission? The first generation TEHCM (Transmission Electro-Hydraulic Control Module) in these transmissions is notorious for pressure switch laminated disk failures causing a variety of issues including delayed shifting, bind-ups, and slipping. It can also be related to the following codes: P0841, P0842, P0843, P0872, P0873, P0877 and P0878 (this is not a guaranteed fix for these codes, but it is a great place to start looking if you have that code). Thankfully, its a fairly straightforward process that the only specialty tool required is a torque wrench. This is applicable to the Chevrolet Equinox and Traverse, GMC Acadia and Terrain, Buick Enclave LaCrosse and Regal, and Cadillac SRX and XTS.
