Thank you sincerely for the warm support and encouragement you shared for our previous video, “15 Greatest Overtures Ever Written.” Inspired by your continued enthusiasm, we have created this second collection of classical overtures. In particular, we carefully reflected on many thoughtful comments expressing regret that certain well loved masterpieces were missing from Part 1. Taking this valuable feedback into account, this video expands the selection with additional works by great composers that could not be included previously, resulting in a deeper and more comprehensive playlist. We also received several important remarks regarding the recording of the “Orpheus in the Underworld” overture used in the previous video, which was a compiled version containing excerpts from other works by Offenbach. For Vol. 2, we have newly secured the overture in its original and complete form, and included it as a special bonus track at the end of the video.
