Like most of civil services aspirants, Nilotpal came to Delhi to prepare UPSC exams and become an IAS officer. He went through a lot of struggle in that period. The UPSC aspirants used to live in a single boiling room with sun on the peak, where the days seemed like burning coal mines. Nilotpal went through all the hardships and from them, he got his calling which was writing. Since childhood, he always had an interest in writing. Then, he started writing his very first novel in which he has written about all the struggles that UPSC and Government Job aspirants go through. He knocked on to the doors of multiple publishers to publish his book, He faced multiple rejections but made a firm decision to publish his book. So he went to a new publishing house. Nilotpal Mrinal's book Dark Horse won Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar which was a great success for the publisher and Nilotpal himself. Nilotpal almost failed in Hindi in 10th standard but he did not stop with self-improvement and continuous effort and determination, he won the national award for his novel Dark Horse in Hindi. Through Dark Horse, he gives the key to success and how to find your talent and put hard work, there will be rejections along the way.
