Beethovens Triple Concerto in C majeur, op. 56 is het enige werk waarin hij viool, cello en piano samen als solisten tegenover een orkest plaatst. De cello krijgt vaak de eerste stem, viool en piano bouwen daarop verder: drie solisten die voortdurend naar elkaar luisteren. Morgenstern Trio, met Stefan Hempel (viool), Emanuel Wehse (cello) en Catherine Klipfel (piano), brengt het concerto samen met Casco Phil onder leiding van dirigent Benjamin Haemhouts.
