Jacktone Odhiambo, the killer of LGBTQ activist Edwin alias Chiloba sentenced to 50 years in jail

Jacton Odhiambo, a man convicted by the high court in Eldoret for killing fashion designer and lgbtq activist Edwin Kiptoo alias Chiloba will serve 50 years in prison. Justice Reuben Nyakundi handed down the sentence today in a fully packed courtroom following the conclusion of the case two years after the murder. According to the judge, Odhiambo deserved a long time jail for killing Kiptoo, whom the court described as his intimate friend. Chiloba's family has welcomed the sentence saying it will bring some closure to their loss and grief.
