Getting a V! Almost a parkrun Disaster! Running Vogrie parkrun at Christmas in Fancy Dress.

We had less than the ideal trip to Scotland when a journey that should have taken 3.5 hours took almost 8 hours, and included a fair amount of time on the hard shoulder, as well as a trip to Newcastle to buy a new tyre! We arrived eventually, and thankfully Vogrie parkrun went ahead the next morning despite the strong winds that were forecast. At one point we thought we might not make it to a parkrun in the morning and might have to miss our run! Thankfully we made it safely there and the team couldn't have been more friendly. The course is a stunning two lap trail run that finishes right in front of the beautiful Vogrie House. Running parkrun at Christmas time is always special, and as Vogrie parkrun were not hosting a parkrun on Christmas Day then this was their Christmas run. It's always fun to run in fancy dress and it was lovely to be on a parkrun adventure with my sister, Carla, who was delighted to get a V for her parkrun alphabet.
