Princess Steals Octi! || The Oct-Father (PPG 2016 Review)

Here we are, the second last reboot episode in the entire series and it's a Princess episode... that I actually like! Shocking, I know, but the way this episode's plot is executed shows me that the show really knew how it wanted to handle this one. I can tell there was actually a clear vision in how it wanted to present the consequences of Princess getting in too deep over her head, and the presentation made the episode benefit all the more for it. Despite starting the season off with two awful reboot episodes at the beginning, it seems that things have turned around in the latter half with this and Witch's Crew both being rather good depictions of the character experiencing some sort of struggle and coming to terms with it. I actually like this take on a Princess episode and sort of wish we got more like them in the reboot. This reminds me of the way that Bought and Scold was handled in the original, a great episode that I thoroughly enjoy.
