The off spray ruined my garage floor (even though I had tarp laid out) and it cost hundreds of dollars in repairs. Not to mention it was extremely difficult sanding, priming, and painting multiple coats over and over again. (2) Invest in quality grow lights - I recommend Barrina or PlantSpectrum (Both linked below) (3) Take your time with weatherstripping - this is the most time consuming part, but worth the effort because if you plan on having humidity-loving plants like alocasias and anthurium, you will need it. If your humidity isn't where it needs to be (I have mine at 70% +), check your weatherstripping, add more plants, or add a LECA pebble tray. (4) You can go as extra or as minimal as you want with these DIY IKEA hacks. If you merely want to display plants or keep them away from pets/children you don't need to accessorize as much with the weatherstripping. (5) Smart plugs are the way to go so you don't need to manually control the lights and fans inside (also linked below).
