The Making of Saltburn
Cinematographer Linus Sandgren, FSF, ASC sat down with Panavision to discuss the creative conversations that led to Saltburn’s visual language, the inspiration he and his collaborators found in baroque painting and the gothic storytelling tradition, and much more. "I always want the film to tell me what it needs,” says Sandgren. In the case of writer-director Emerald Fennell’s feature Saltburn, Sandgren and Fennell were drawn to shooting on 35mm film with spherical Primo lenses, framing for the 1.33:1 aspect ratio.
