These loved-up newlyweds dream of a family garden for the children that they plan to have, a space full of grass and wildlife friendly flowers, but the trouble is, all they have now is a concrete garden made up of nothing but paving stones. The big issue is the new build house has a covenant that bans them putting in any deep-rooted plants because of buried gas pipes. So can Charlie, Harry and David come up with a pair of designs that prove you can still have a dream garden even if you can’t plant trees, big shrubs or any deep-rooted plants? And, amazingly, that is not the designers' only problem - this empty, existing back yard also has an ugly wire fence overlooking a noisy railway line.
