Trains At: Ishøj (Extended)

Today's video takes place from Ishøj Station. Originally just a 5 minute visit from April 1st, a second visit from April 16th was added. Ishøj Station opened on the 26th September, 1976, along with the Køge Bugt Branch's 2nd Phase from Vallensbæk to Hundige. Ishøj consist of two side platforms. One for northbound trains, the other for southbound trains. Ishøj is served by Line A and E, with a 6 tph frequency on both lines in the weekday daylight hours. On weekends, late nights, early mornings, and Friday and Saturday nights, only Line A call here. Towards the north, Line A calls at all stations to Copenhagen, whilst Line E runs fast between here and Copenhagen South. Towards the south, Line A terminates at the next stop, Hundige, whilst Line E continues further south to Køge Ishøj Station was substantially rebuilt in 2005, in order to be built into the neighboring Ishøj Bycenter (From 2009, Ishøj Shopping Center) To the east of the station, is the Ishøj Bus terminal. Several buses start and terminate here. To the west, is the above mentioned Ishøj Shopping Center At the northern end of the bus terminal, is the southern terminus of the new Greater Copenhagen Light Rail System, which will open between here and Rødovre North sometime in late 2025.
