MegaZone 23 Part 2: SPECIAL MEMORY (1986 High Quality 60FPS VHD Promotional Anime Video Disc)

This is "MegaZone 23 Part II: SPECIAL MEMORY" (S10-1005) which was released as a promotional disc for the Japan-market-only Victor VHD video format. Released in 1986, this disc was given out with certain Victor VHD video player purchases to celebrate the first sequel to one of the most successful anime OVAs of the 1980's, MegaZone 21: Part 2. Split into 5 "acts," each act focuses on one of the songs from the anime. Some sequences feature live footage of singer & voice actress Kumi Miyasato who voiced Eve in the anime while others consist of edited sequences from the anime itself. All in all, this disc is a diverse collection of 80's music, from ballads to synth-pop to hard rock, featuring some of the most memorable scenes from the second MegaZone 23 movie! ________________________________________________ Chapter List: 00:00 - INTRO 00:29 - ACT 1: Big Fight 03:04 - ACT 2: Sentimental Love 07:11 - ACT 3: Tender Soldier 09:12 - ACT 4: Secret Ambition 14:18 - ACT 5: Aphrodisiac of Melancholy ________________________________________________ This was played using a Victor HD-9500 VHD player. NOTE: Cross-hatching artifacts may be noted along high contrast edges. This is an artifact of the TBC used to stabilize the footage and is not inherent to the original recording or post-processing after capture. NOTE 2: VHD discs have a number of quality issues, including sensitivity to scratches/long-term pressure/heat, an affinity to attract mold, etc, which can cause visual artifacts such as skipping & drop-outs along with audio artifacts.
