From the egg that broke prematurely, a son emerged whose upper body was perfect but whose lower body was not yet properly formed. That son was Aruna. He was furious with his mother for breaking the egg prematurely and was born deformed. Aruna cursed his mother, "O Mother, because of your impatience, you will be a slave to the Goddess Kadru for five hundred years! One day, my younger brother who will be born from the second egg will free you from this slavery." After uttering this curse, Aruna shot up into the sky and became the charioteer (charioteer) of the Sun God, Surya, taking him across the horizon every day.
