O senador Cleitinho (Republicanos-MG) afirmou que, apesar de aparecer bem posicionado nas pesquisas para o governo de Minas Gerais, não pretende seguir carreira política. Em declaração enfática, o parlamentar disse estar decepcionado com o ambiente político e rejeitou a ideia de negociar seus valores com figuras que, segundo ele, “só pensam no próprio bolso”. Cleitinho reforçou que sua prioridade é manter sua integridade e que considera deixar a política por não compactuar com práticas que desrespeitam o interesse popular.
