The neighbor couldn't get into the house because her son had barricaded himself in. They called the police, firefighters, and an ambulance. But the police didn't arrive for almost three hours! The firefighters and ambulance waited outside the house. Ultimately, the National Guard broke down the door—the house had no power or water, and the wiring was burned out. And when hospitalization was needed, the ambulance refused to transport the aggressive patient without a police escort, and the National Guard refused to escort him. In the end, the patient simply walked out the gate; no one stopped him. A few hours later, he returned for his backpack and left. At least for our family, this is some kind of result—he's gone.
