Wenak is not a song about missing an ex. It’s about missing myself. This song was written after losing who I was while trying to hold on to a toxic relationship. When I say “wenak ya albi wenak”, I’m calling out to the version of me that existed before love became something I had to survive instead of live. The song begins with grief for the self that faded.
