In Part 1 of our Ballerbrüder Bikepacking Tour 26, we begin our big bikepacking tour from Munich via the Via Claudia Augusta to Lake Garda. With fully loaded bikes, panniers, and camping gear, our adventure through the Alps begins. But even before the start, not everything goes according to plan: Shortly before the tour begins, I spontaneously decide to change my entire bikepacking bag setup. Whether that was the right decision will become clear during the tour. Then we leave Munich and head towards Schwangau. Over 1,000 meters of elevation gain await us on the very first leg – a real test of endurance right at the start of the tour. As if that weren't enough, I realize along the way that I've forgotten my bike computer for navigation at home.
