Where does a melody come from? What does a person experience when a musical work is completed, and they feel that something greater has been born within it than what they could explain by their own strength alone? In this video I speak about faith, silence, inspiration, and the gift of music. Throughout, we are accompanied by images of the church that has accompanied my entire life: it is here that I was baptised, here that I made my first communion and was confirmed, here that I served as an altar boy, here that my faith was strengthened, and here that my service as a cantor began. I believe that the ultimate source of talent, of creativity, and of all true beauty is God. Grace does not replace the work of man, but elevates and fulfils it. I wish you a blessed viewing!
