Our store is also where is where you can purchase lessons, trims, training or help out with a bale of hay or haybag. When leading a horse, safety is number one priority. Leading a horse that is distracted or nervous and in turn not paying attention to you, can be very dangerous. It's important that they listen, pay attention and go where and when you want them to. This takes practice though. This kind of exercise should only be done once you have confidence you can lead your horse in any direction in a calm and quiet environment. Somewhere that the horse feels comfort and security so that you have the best opportunity to keep their attention. Once that is good, it's time to move on to other places that they may not be used to. In this case, it was a local park as he has never been in running water before and it seemed like a great day to go do it. Summer is obviously the best time as you're going to get wet too! Anyways, I hope this video is useful and interesting.
