Röö guitars #004 - body part 2 (cavities)
I precisely measured the bridge and pickups' placement, taking into consideration screws in the pickguard. Since I will be installing two p90 pickups, the screws' layout doesn't fit in the top portion of the pickguard. The control cavity was routed fairly deep, as the blade switch I plan on using is 35mm tall. I wanted to keep the cavity consistent. Also, some weight was reduced as a bonus. Bridge pickup seems to be twisted a bit more in the bridge than on the template, so I followed the bridge location and ignored the centre line on the template. I should have considered future steps more carefully and route out the P90s first. That would have allowed me to trim the pickguard precisely to those cavities. The control cavity could have been routed out after the pickguard was done. To trim the pickguard now, I'll need to attach some scrap wood inside the control cavity to give the bearing a reference, when trimming the bottom side. Next one will be done more efficiently :)
