Anrich Nortje Detailed Bowling Action Analysis

[For those who wanted english caption] Anrich Nortje Bowling Action Analysis- [A] RUN-UP: [1] Anrich Nortje has a quick & well controlled run-up. [2] He runs in a straight line towards the target with minimum sideways deviation. [3] He has a run-up of about 13-15 steps. [4] His arm movements are also close to his body. [5] Nortje foot always lands under his body aiding in his overall run-up balance. [B] JUMP & GATHER: [1] Nortje has a high straight jump followed by a proper use of shin lead. [2] He gathers his bowling arm at his shoulder level & his non-bowling arm in front of his left eye. [C] BFC: [1] Anrich Nortje is an open-chested front-on bowler. [2] He is a hip-dominant bowler. [3] At BFC, his front-knee is at its highest position i.e. he uses high-knee angle in his bowling action. [4] He uses his non-bowling arm in similar fashion to that of Wood & Bumrah i.e. he keeps his non-bowling straight while pulling it downward & applies a sudden break as soon as it comes near his front-foot. [5] He pulls down his non-bowling arm by closing down his wrist. [6] He also have strong glute and calf muscles, which aids in extra stability at his BFC. [D] FFC & DELIVERY STRIDE: [1] Anrich Nortje forms a star-shaped position at delivery stride which helps him in delaying his bowling arm. [2] He extends his front-foot completely before landing on the ground, aiding swing-leg retraction. [3] He has a braced front-foot at the time of ball release. [4] He has not only worked up on the technical aspect of his bowling but also his overall physical core strength as well. As this can be clearly seen by his body strong build. [5] He releases the ball with a high arm action. [7] Nortje bowling arm bypasses his front-knee in his follow through & his back-foot is been pulled back towards his body with full intensity.
