Discussion | Eskom implements stage 6 load shedding until further notice

South Africans have woken up to darkness after Eskom implemented Stage 6 load shedding in the early hours of this morning. The power utility says the escalation of rolling blackouts, until further notice, follows multiple unit trips at the Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga. Eskom implemented stage three load shedding late yesterday afternoon due to multiple unit trips at the Majuba and at Medupi power stations.
