PART 2 -    • PART 2 - How To Setup A Easy To Clean Duck...   Baby Ducks have arrived! So I ordered some day old Rouen Ducklings to replace the turkeys I got rid of a few weeks ago. I tried to make the turkey and duck thing work but the turkeys just wanted more territory than my backyard could offer. After selling the pair of turkeys and getting the new chickens into their coop, the backyard started feeling a bit too quiet with just the pair of ducks. I got twelve unsexed rouen ducklings, I plan on keeping one male and maybe four females. My mature male and female duck right now are crossbred between rouen and indian runner so they make a strange mix of ducklings. I want to get my backyard duck herd to be all purebred rouen so when i sell the ducklings I know those are also rouen. I might eventually get a goose or two from a friend to help fill the void the turkeys left. Geese should work well with the ducks and they will love the duck pond.
