Mother wants son to remain in custody in rehoboth drug case - nbc
The mother of one of the accused in the Rehoboth drug case, Shirley Beukes (62), says she wants her son to remain in custody. Beukes told NBC News her son, Menschel Beukes (33), has repeatedly caused her hardship. She said he has been in and out of prison for drug-related offences, stolen from her, and neglected his six children, whom she is raising. Beukes added that he has taken household items and the children's school bags to fuel his drug addiction. "I don't even have a plate in my house, and he has stolen his children's school bags. Until when must I suffer like this?" she said, adding she will not pay his bail if granted. Menschel Beukes was arrested last week on drug-related charges. He is co-accused with Naomi Fisch and three others. The matter is before the Rehoboth Magistrate's Court for a bail application #NBCNews #nbcdigitalnews #nbcDSTV282 #nbcGOtv20 #nbcPlusApp
