We Added Something New and Exciting to the Harvest!

We’re adding something new and exciting to the harvest as our bell peppers, jalapeños, and eggplant are finally ready to pick—and the first harvest did not disappoint. While we’ve been busy harvesting sweet corn, green beans, cucumbers, and zucchini, these crops have been quietly growing in the background. Today, we’re picking our first real load of peppers and eggplant, bringing everything back to the barn, and getting it washed, sorted, and packed for market. These may be some of the healthiest and highest-yielding pepper plants we’ve ever grown. The eggplant look fantastic too, although most of them still need another week to reach full size. From the field to the packing barn, this is what the beginning of pepper and eggplant harvest looks like on our 45-acre fresh-market vegetable farm in West Central Ohio. 🌿 We grow vegetables on 45 acres, operate 14,000 square feet of greenhouses, and sell fresh produce at 7 farmers markets and two satellite locations. 📺 New farm videos three times a week.
