Bario Food & Cultural Festival 2023

The Bario Food Festival (Pesta Nukenen) is a traditional Kelabit food and cultural festival that celebrates Kelabit cuisine and cultural arts and games. It's the one festival where you can expect all sorts of rare treats, all in one place, over 3 days. Jungle food from grubs to wild meat, edible flowers to bario rice, and games once played everyday, to games reserved only for special ceremonies. This year is the 16th anniversary of the festival and we hope that those who joined us at the festival this year had lots of fun, also savoured & enjoyed so many different types of food and cultural entertainment during the festival.
