Superior Hiking Trail (Oberg Mt To Cascade River)

Everyday life can make the trail seem far away. To go backpacking you need time. Time to plan. Probably some time to travel. You need time to hike! But hopefully, you have at least one incredible trail within reach - the kind of trail you can get away to for a quick weekend trip. For us, it's the Superior Hiking Trail, also known as the SHT. We've been hiking the Superior Hiking Trail for a few years now. In fact, it was the trail we hiked on our first real backpacking trip. It's the perfect blend of pristine natural areas and accessibility. Located on Minnesota's famous North Shore, just a few hours from the Twin Cities, it's great for short trips. This footpath's varied terrain, rugged northern beauty, and friendly shuttle service, keep us coming back for more. When we were new to backpacking, the Superior Hiking Trail was a fantastic place to build our skills and gain experience.
